"I initially met Brayden and the Eastern Built team on a house a
friend of mine was undertaking. I was immediately impressed by
the level of workmanship and my friend’s positive feedback. At
that time, my wife and I were looking to build a freestanding three
level home. Our build was challenging due to the excavation
works and our “Hampton” style of build that required quality level
of finishes and style.
The Eastern Built team were generally country lads, highly skilled,
respectful and friendly. The subcontractors in the various trades
worked in extremely well with the team whilst all were
accommodating to our many requests. Brayden and his team

Exceeded our very high expectations
Having experienced a number of smaller renovations in the past, we were mentally
prepared for the roller-coaster ride which is an inevitable part of building a house. In this
case we were removing and replacing a very dated 1970s extension to a traditional
Paddington terrace, adding a garage, pool and updating all the interiors. The build was
expected to take a year.
We eventually decided on Eastern Built based on three factors:
1. A high degree of professionalism and respect for the neighbours and the
neighbourhood demonstrated by the team. Prior to the start of our job, Eastern
Built had been working on a smaller job across the road. We had observed how the
staff conducted themselves on site and were surprised on more than one occasion to
see them sweeping the sidewalk at 5pm on a Friday night. The site was always clean
and secure.
2. The proposed use of an ‘app’ to allow us to keep tabs on progress even when we
were away. This was the first time we had experienced the BuilderTrend app. Work
related travel would inevitably mean there would be periods where we would not be
able to be on site. The proposed use of technology to help keep us abreast of
progress while away was a key factor in the decision.
3. Our trust in Brayden. Ultimately you put your vision into someone else’s hands to
deliver. From our first meeting, Brayden seemed to not only understand our vision,
but share in it. He brought an enthusiasm for the job from the outset which
continued throughout the build.
While all builds have their ups and downs. Brayden and his team remained committed to
meeting (and in many cases exceeding) our expectations. If something wasn’t quite right it
was fixed or replaced. Brayden’s view was that we shouldn’t compromise. Nothing was too
much trouble.
While we ‘hoped’ Brayden and team would deliver on our vision… we were surprised to find
they actually enhanced and improved upon it. Rather than just ‘follow the plans’ they often
had suggestions on how to enhance them. Brayden has an eye for detail and design, and a
passion for excellence which goes above any ‘normal’ expectations for a builder. His
enhancements to our skylight design even impressed the architect!
Lastly, while it was clear that Brayden was the driving force in the build, his team of builders
and contractors were all equally easy to deal with and committed to excellence. We were
impressed by all of them.
Overall, we feel we got more than we expected… six months after moving in we are still in
awe of our new house.

Brayden Dwyer and his team at Eastern Built worked very hard to transform my 1990's 1.5-bedroom split level apartment into a fresh, modern 3-bedroom apartment.
Significant structural changes required the use of a crane on Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills to remove rubble and deliver long, heavy steel beams up 7 floors. Use of the crane on such a major street required working with three government authorities to obtain the necessary permit, which Brayden's team led by George Kakoz, capably handled.
The quality of the completed project was very high, with their on site project supervisor, Bobby responsibly managing and coordinating all the trades brilliantly. The whole team professionally helped me work through the various issues associated with a building renovation, providing options, costings, and buildability all the way through.
The project came in on budget with all variations (of which there were not many) costed and approved by me prior to any work commencing. The team used a software package that allowed me to keep track of all the variations, project spend to date and key correspondence.
Overall I was very pleased with the outcome of the project, the responsiveness of the team and
the respectful manner of all members of the team and trades.
